What is the main goal of Cradle 2 Cradle Philosophy? What can you do as engineer with this tool? What impact does your career has on the design of new products? What is the importance of designing for disassembly? Is it more difficult? More expensive?

I think that Cradle 2 Cradle it's a really good method to avoid generate more garbage. This new and revolutionary way of thinking it's a great step to return the human kind to his natural side. Because since the industrial revolution the human production has moved away more and more of the cycle of the things, due that almost all the things that we use, contains toxic chemicals and in consequence we generate tons and tons of garbage that can't reuse and therefore, a contaminant is generated and our resources are depleted. As engineers we should adopt this way of thinking because as all we know, our resources are limited. Then as mechatronics engineers when we design a new product we must care not only the cost of production, also the environmental impact that would cause. We have limited resources and we are a lot of persons, so we must learn to be part of the natural cycle of things so that the shortage of things and pollution be a thing of the past.
The philosophy of cradle to cradle, is to change the life cycle of products, mainly because not only the process of extraction of the raw materials is most of the time environmental unfriendly, but because at the end of the use of the product we disposed it in the trash and generate a lot of waste and with all the toxic chemicals in a daily basis we have as a consequence contamination of the soil, the water and the air.
As an engineer I can try to do more research about sustainable products, and incorporate them in the fabrication of the technologies I'll create.
As a future renewable energy engineer, the impact of sustainable products it's very important, because one will think that being green is using solar, wind, water energy, and it is, but what we really don't know is the materials that have been used to create the wind turbines, the solar panels or the dams, also the distribution of this technologies it's a very important part in the analysis of the life cycle, for instance, a city may have the resource to employ renewable energy but they don't have the technology so they have to bring it from another country and that's a contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere due the long travel that it takes to bring this technologies to the area.
It's a big deal designing for disassembly mainly because, some materials of the products can still be used in other products so it won't be a total waste, It may be more expensive because of the tools or the ways to do it, but we have to change the vision of not thinking that the benefits will be more than the disadvantages.
Most of the time, human beings are not aware of the consequences of some of their actions. One of those actions is the productive process of several products. We often forget that Mother Nature, in her mother role, can teach us a lot of things and that its functionality is as close to perfection. As an example, some of Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions were inspired by nature. Why cannot we take Da Vinci's example and develop our productive processes to make them similar to the natural ones? People also tend to throw away several products without knowing they can be reusable in a lot of new ways. In order to make them aware of the reusable products, it is needed to increase the information about the raw materials in the products we use. Logically, this requires interest and consciousness from everybody. A big mistake is to focus production only on satisfying necessities, but never into give back to nature something of the much it gives to us. The Cradle to Cradle method allows us to take raw materials from nature and to return them to it in an ecological way. Cradle to Cradle then helps us to reduce waste and to obtain new raw materials in the future. Only a few of our waste can be reused. In the future, we need fresh and new ideas to revolutionize the way things are made and waste are handled. This is where the role of engineers takes a vital role. We, as future engineers, can search for new materials or even new applications for the existing ones. To radically change the current landscape it not only takes to change the productive processes, but also the design ones. In addition, we should not only produce, but also be aware of what are we using to do it and how we do it. Caring for nature is not only responsibility of the industries. Consumers can also take an important role as long as they show commitment at what they do to reduce and reuse the products they consume.
Cradle to cradle philosophy is an interesting topic, organizations like greenpeace and similar are actually worried about the contamination made by all companies all around the world produce in their processes. The contamination every day has became in a very strong headache, every minute are tons and tons from garbage that last a lot of years on dissapear and even worst they contaminate till dissapear. People dont have the culture from recycling, they prefer use other plastic bag that use several times a fabric bag; producing clothes, plastic things and others maybe is not as contaminating as the time they last until dissapear. A product designed to "die" after it "useful life" its a perfect way to care the environment. That joined to a recycling culture would be great in a short period time. People needs to understand, maybe its difficult make people to join each other for a cause but this cause is for our good living.
My answers to each question:
Create products that have a cycle that benefits or harms the environment, where the garbage shoot, become fertilizer for the soil can be recycled and its remains will not damage the environment and slower to decompose very little, but mostly, is not harmful to humans.
To re-use certain devices that are damaged, without harming much the environment, with complete calm feel to use my tools without the slightest fear that something damaging my body.
Serve to avoid accumulating more waste than there already, plus with this science and its new products will damage less or even help the planet
That the final product be something ready for recycling, you do not have a comparison of how deficiency could be before recycling.
It is more difficult in the sense of making an attractive design, or does something that combines a simple thing to do and disassemble, so it should be easy creation. It can be cheaper depending on the product, but the reduced life cycle could make have to make more products constantly. It would be more work.
Sometimes it is more expensive for the process to create new material, but if oil is no longer used, for example, would be a much more economical way in the future.
The cradle to cradle philosophy has to main goal make the engineers focus their attention in the design of every product for be easy to disassemble or not be harmful to the environment. This is a very good tool because when we make products there are some of them which are really essential, but the others can be replaced with another elements, and if also of tha we design the product for be easy to disassemble or be friendly with the environment, we can get their raw materials or reintegrate to the environment in a short period of time. The mechatronics has to know the importance of cradle to cradle, because for our knowledge, we are able to design phisically, know the materials needed to do it and make the necessary calculations. Design for disassembly is obviously mor difficult, is something different that we make now, but the environment is suffering and we can see their consequences now and if we keep making the same we are going to make our planet uninhabitable for the human beings and the other animals. But there is a good thing about disassembly and is that it isn´t expensive because the people are interested in be friendly with the environment and make this, means less use of energy to make the products and reuse materials, what means less trash and saves money.
The main goal of the philosophy its to get a new way for made stuffs getting away or trying to reduce the damage of the environment.
As a mecatronic engineer I have to start thinking about to use elements that are design to be reusable or degradable, start looking for materials that were tohugth with this porpous and spread it use.
As a mecatronic engineer i´m on track to make things or solve problems that involve the design of the products, this is, from selecting materials to tuning the final product, and its my responsablity start selecting the correct materials that will help with the environment develop.
Start thinking in made for dissasembling might be dificult or expensive but on the contrary, in a not long future we will see the benefits of work with that idea, as its shown on the video, at the begining it was only the idea of make degradable cutlery but later they discover that also those cutlery could be used for not only for made energy but olso, for make new composting for they crops.
Creadle 2 Creadle is a way to design things who after their useful life cycle becomes in nutrients for somebody. This way to design is better to the enviroment and for sustainable products, because in this way the waste of the product becomes in raw material even for the own product.
Cradle 2 Cradle is a way to design who all the engineers should adopt like the way to design, because in this way things being recycled in raw material insted of ending them in waste.
But all the things we use in the world could not be recicled in biological way, hence as engineers we have to learn how to design for disassembly, and in this way allow the component of electronic devices could converts in electronic nutrients too. I think this way to design is in fact more difficult and expensive initially but after facilitates find raw material who makes cheaper the process.
I think the philosophy of cradle to cradle is reframe our thinking about the production, it must not only pull over the animal, but also must consider aspects that may not only improve the (most important) environmental health, but also gains in companies. As an engineer, would try to create a company as dimensioned , or think some improvement lifecycle for any product , it was very interesting and ingenious how are you people would not think that took something that was business. I think the design for disassembly if it is a bit more complicated (at time of creation ) , but logically , facilitates and enhances recycling of the product and in the same way , when you want to make reuse is much faster and more productive , and with this open more profit.
The part I liked most of the video was like plastic industries entrepreneur makes use of them again once they are considered trash, for use as biofuel and continue their production.
Today, due to the decline of many of the resources on our planet ( because they do not know how reuse or manage ) , we find many environmental problems , but it is of great interest to remember that nature is our best teacher , and what people do in this video is awesome, try to apply for one hundred percent this point, and rethinking productions paper, diapers , disposable plastics , metals ( copper for electronics), and many more , not only as a process linear, but as it should be , a cycle in which besides being reusable, continue to give profits to the company and to promote an environmental culture other companies and individuals .
the main objective of this philosophy is not to generate more garbage, for example when some products are manufactured, such as electronic products, once they have completed their useful cycle can not be recycled, reused or disassemble, so the only thing left is store it or incinerate it generating garbage and toxic waste.
The importance of this tool is that the raw materials are limited and it is important that at the end of his life cicle, the products are reused.
Definitely isTmore difficult to design a product to be reused completely, however a long think this would generate lower costs because there would have to use new raw materials, but would be the same again and again, as is the case book "Crandle to crandle" which is printed only in plastic that can be reused as the ink.
Angel Adrian Llanez Caballero.
This topic is very interesting. Years ago people never thought to do with corn plastic. At present the consumption of raw materials is a serious problem, because natural resources are depleted, however the options presented in the video are very good.
The book "Crandle to crandle" is a great idea because the leaves are not damaged quickly, this book can get wet without suffering any damage and also all the material can be recycled.
The example of the tables is also very interesting because all the parts can be recycled and separate materials is not complicated unlike television where rescue is very difficult parts to be used again.
I think all factories should take these new ideas, clothing factories should adopt these forms of production. The world in which we live is being destroyed by us and it is our responsibility to save him.
